President's New Year Message for 2016(summary)
— Moving forward to the realization of "Global Major Brand Kubota" with a challenging spirit!

  • This is a summary of messages aimed at Kubota Group officers and employees today.

Last year, we started the production and sales of large tractors in Europe, which became the first step in our full participation in the large scale commercial farming agricultural equipment market. To enter this market had been a long-term ambition of ours. We also developed and launched new products focusing on market needs such as skid-steer loaders in North America, multi-purpose tractors in India, and wheel-type combine harvesters in China. In the field of water and the environment, an industrial park was opened in Thilawa, Myanmar with the comprehensive technologies of water treatment. Last year was indeed the first year of the new growth of the Kubota Group.

In 2016, we have a strong will to build up the business system, quality-cost-delivery (QCD), human resources and dignity of company to become a global major brand (GMB).
GMB means not only being a world top competing company in terms of sales and profits, but also a brand which can contribute the most to society by being trusted by the largest number of customers. To achieve this aim, every Kubota employee needs to sympathize, understand, and surely carry out the mission of the Kubota Group, "global contribution in the fields of food, water, and the environment".


It might be a tough challenge to become a GMB. However, I believe that we can achieve ambitious goals if all 35,000 Kubota employees and staff in the world unite their wonderful talents and work with challenging spirits.


Let us move forward with a challenging spirit in 2016. Let us get together and work towards the realization of "Global Major Brand Kubota" to contribute to the world in the fields of food, water, and the environment!
