IR Activities and the Provision of Corporate Information

1. Activities for shareholders/investors

     KUBOTA is actively communicating with its shareholders and investors through constructive IR activities, while conducting fair and prompt disclosure. We work hard to form a broad shareholder base through activities such as biannual briefings to explain the consolidated financial results and other matters, meetings with investors and securities analysts, and plant tours.
     As a listed company on the New York Stock Exchange, we are exhibiting our asset securities reports, quarterly reports, financial statements, Form 20-F (annual report submitted to the SEC in USA) and other reports on our website so that investors can view them easily anytime.  Besides them, we are exhibiting other information such as KUBOTA REPORT, presentation materials of financial results, Kubota Tsushin (business report for shareholders) and corporate bond information on the website.

2. Opening of a shareholder meeting shareholders can understand the contents easily

Organizing an open shareholders meetings      We hold a shareholder meeting as early as possible so that many shareholders can participate in the shareholder meeting.
     In the meeting, corporate information was offered to shareholders in an easily understandable format: graphs and product photographs were displayed on three large screens, accompanied by professional narration.
     We exhibited our products at the entrance of the meeting site and distributed a booklet about our corporate activities titled "GLOBAL INDEX" to all the participating shareholders to facilitate an understanding of KUBOTA.


3. Providing corporate information

Web site "KUBOTA no Tanbo"

Web site      "KUBOTA no Tanbo (KUBOTA's rice fields)" is a Web site which introduces the mechanism of the rice fields, their multiple functions, the rice plant and the farm tools, relevant festivals and the history of rice farming in an easy-to-understand manner by including many illustrations and photographs. It also contains various information regarding rice fields at such sites as "Tanbo no Monogatari (Rice Field Tales)" which introduce interesting information and mysterious tales regarding the rice fields, and "Murabito no Tanbo: Challenger no Fukei (The Villagers' Rice Field: Scenes of a Challenger", which provides a report of rice farming made by novice farmers who has newly become a rice field farmer.

Web site "GLOBAL INDEX"

Web site      The GLOBAL INDEX is a Web magazine which introduces KUBOTA's approach as a corporate body while also introducing the KUBOTA's business areas/projects which contributes to the society in an extensive manner. A total of 7 volumes were issued during 1992 - 1998 as our public relations magazine. We have been posting GLOBAL INDEX on the Internet since 2000 so that more viewers will be able to read it.

Business PR magazine "URBAN KUBOTA"

Business PR magazine      URBAN KUBOTA is a magazine which makes in-depth academic researches on various areas that are highly relevant with KUBOTA's business such as water, soil, geology, and environmental issues in an academic manner (first published in 1969).
The magazine contains descriptions made by professionals accompanied with many polychrome pictorial cuts so that general readers would be able to understand the contents in an easy manner.  The magazine is distributed to a wide range of users including public libraries, educational institutes and business partners.  Its PDF version is also disclosed on KUBOTA's Web site.

Web site "KUBOTA Global Journey"

Web site      KUBOTA Global Journey is a record of expeditions made by the explorer, Mr. Daisuke Takahashi, based on the theme of "Journey on a Story", where he visits various places in order to seek the truth within fiction and non-fiction stories including legends and novels that have been widely read throughout the world.
He also mentions KUBOTA's businesses at the end of the issue based on the theme "For Water, Soil, Air, and Man".
