The 8th Long-Term Industrial Accident Reduction Plan
KUBOTA has been implementing its safety and health management by dividing the activities into two categories which are central safety and health management and work site safety and health management (plant department/construction works department), based on the "Long-Term Industrial Accident Reduction Plan" which was launched in 1973 and is specified for every 5 years, and based on the annual safety and health policies, in order to achieve the targets by conforming to the laws and regulations and by implementing countermeasures for preventing accidents by acknowledging the danger/harmful risks at an earlier stage and therefore enable improvement for making the work environment more comfortable in a planned manner.

Approach to Mental Health Care
Kubota uses a simple occupational stress diagnosis system in periodic health examinations for the purpose of mental health maintenance and improvement. The use of this system is helpful in selfcare and work environment improvement.
KUBOTA has also established "Consulting room for mental health" and "KUBOTA Health Hotline" so that those employees suffering from mental disorders or supervisors of such employees can consult the matter, and be introduced to external specialists on mental disorders.
